Abstract:
The anonym ous nuclear DNA SANDX - 2 locus o f 89 indiv idua ls o f Ch inese w ild boars and a dom estic p ig were am plified and sequenced fo r study ing the genetic va riab ility. A tota l o f 510 bp w ere ob ta ined a fter a ligned, inc luding 4 inde ls and 30 substitutions. E ighteen hap lo types we re de fined in Ch inese w ild boars, am ongw hich 7 haplo types we re observed only in one loca l popu la tion, and 11 hap lotypesw ere sha red by tw o o rm ore loca l popu la tions. The phy log enetic tree constructed by the ne ighbor-jo in ingm ethod based on K imura 2- param eters model div ided the hap lo types into tw o distinct clades. A lthough the trees w ere no t suppo rted by high bootstrap va lue, and the haplotypes in different popu lation w ere lo ca ted in d if ferent clades, there are g eog raph ica l d istribution patterns in the Ch inese w ild boars. Ignor ing the gaps in the sequences, the nesting cladogram of 19 hap lo types suggested that HAP2 m ay be ancestra l haplotype
