Abstract:
Let[φ(m)]be Euler function. The positive integer solutions of equation j(ab)=8(j(a)+j(b))were discussed,and the all positive integer solutions of its were given by using elementary methods in this article. According to the conclusion that the positive integer solutions of equation j(ab)=8(j(a)+j(b))and the positive integer solutions of similar equations has been studied,two conclusions as follows were proofed. For any positive integer[k],[(a,b)=(2k,2k)]is a positive integer solution of the equation j(ab)=k(j(a)+j(b)),and[(a,b)=(2k+1,2k×3)],[(2k×3,2k+1)]are positive solutions of equation[φ(ab)=2k(φ(a)+φ(b))].
