Abstract:
Basedonthedatasofgrainsizecompositionandparameteranalysisof32surfacesedimentsinthecoastalareasofRudonginJiangsuProvince,thedistributioncharacteristicsofsedimenttypes,grainsizecomponentsandgrainsizeparameterswereanalyzed.Inaddition,combinedwiththeFolk&Ward’snomenclature,theQ-typesystemclusteranalysismethodandthetidaldynamiccharacteristicsofthestudyarea,thecoastalareasofRudongweredividedintothreesub-areas,namelythenear-shoretidalflatandsandridgearea,thetidalchannelareaandtheedgeregionofsandridge,respectively.TheresultsindicatedthatthedistributionofgrainsizeinsurfacesedimentshasobviousspatialdifferencesinthecoastalareasofRudongbytheinfluenceofmaterialsourceandsedimentarydynamicsenvironmental.TherearethreesedimenttypesinsurfacesedimentsinthecoastalareasofRudong,withsandysiltasthemaincontent,theaveragecontentof50%;followedbysiltysand,theaveragecontentof46.87%;thesandcontenthaveleastproportion,theaveragecontentof3.13%.Themeangrainsizeofsurfacesedimentarebetween25.65-171.72μm,andtheaverageof70.61μm.Inaddition,thetrendofspatialdistributionisconsistentwiththechangeofsandcontent.Sortingcoefficient,skewness,andkurtosisarecharacterizedbypoor-difference,near-symmetry-extremelynegative,sharp-verysharp,respectively.Spatially,(1)Thenearshoretidalflat-sandridgearea,thereareabundanceofsandcontentandcoarserofgrainsizeinsedimentsbywaterdepthofshallow,sedimentaryanderosiondynamicchangesofcomplex;(2)Thetidalchannelarea,therearemoreclaycontentandfinergrainsizeinsedimentsbythechannel’sdepthoflarge,thebottomaffectedbyhydrodynamicsofless;(3)Theedgeregionofsandridge,therearedeepwaterdepthandlittleeffectedbytidalcurrentofrelativelystablesedimentaryenvironment.
