Abstract:
Thiol-carbon-atom-wires were synthesized by use of condensation between the carboxylic acid group at the end of carbon atom wires (CAWs) treated by concentrated nitric acid and the amino-group in 2-aminoethylmercap tan. The reaction p rocess and some conditions concerned were investigated by FT in frared spectroscopy ( FT2IR). It was found that the condensation could be comp leted within 24 hours at 60℃ in a solution containing 10mg CAWs, 20mg 2-aminoethylmercap tan, 10mL CH2Cl2 , 1mL triethyl amine and 0.2 g DCC (N, N′2 dicyclohexyl carbodiimide). In addition, no change in the characteristic carbon chains of CAWs was detected during the condensation p rocess.
