Abstract:
N-( 4-hydroxy-3-m ethoxypheny lm ethy lene)-p-m ethy lan iline ( C15H15NO2 ) w as synthes ized by the one step so-l id phase reaction o fp-m e thy laniline w ith van illin at room temperature w ithou t so lvent. The reaction was comp leted in 15 m in and the y ie ld w as 92%. The product w as character ized by e lementa l analysis, X- ray powder d iffraction, IR and 1H NMR.
