Abstract:
Based on the character istic demands o f tissue eng ineer ing scaffo ld, a so lidstate foam ing system was designed to pe rfo rm them icroce llu lar foam fabr ica tion fo r the b iodeg radab le m ate rial PLA and severa l PLA foam s w ith different pore sizes fabr ica ted at various param eters. The therm ograv im etry was app lied to ana lyze the therma l stability and the on set tem pera ture of the fabricated PLA foam s, and the raw PLA m ater ia lwas a lso investiga ted for compar ison. It is proved tha t the bigg er po re size and h ighe r ce ll density of the PLA foam can be obta ined w ith low er onset temperature and longer deg radation tim e a t body tem perature o f 37℃ So the stable property can be e ffectively contro lled w ith appropriate fabri ca tion cond ition to adapt the requ irem ent fo r va rious app lications o f tissue eng ineering scaffo ld.
