Abstract:
To investigate the effects of pyrroloquinoline quinone(PQQ)on the expression of inflammatory factors in LPS-induced of macrophages. Cultured RAW264.7 cells,BMDM cells and THP-1 cells were divided into the control and PQQ-treated groups, respectively. MTT method was used to detect the cell proliferation. The expression of each inflammatory factor at mRNA and protein levels was detected by RT-qPCR and Western Blot analysis. PQQ pretreatment caused a significant decrease in the expression of inflammatory factors, the expression of P-P65 protein and consequently an increase in the expression of Nrf2 protein. PQQ pretreatment reduces the intracellular inflammatory response, which may attribute to an increase in the expression of Nrf2 and resultant inhibition of the expression of NF-κB.
